Chiller
The TCU uses Fluorinert coolant (FC-3283) to prevent RF power from traveling through the coolant and shorting to ground.
The TCU routes coolant to and from the lower electrode. The coolant enters through an inlet, is directed through channels in the seal plate, and exits through an outlet.
The TCU features a single tank system, which maintains the electrode temperature. The temperature of the TCU tank is determined by a user-programmable TCU parameter setpoint. The TCU parameter setpoint is controlled by a thermocouple in the TCU tank.
Due to thermo losses in the TCU lines, the electrode temperature may be slightly different than the TCU temperature. A separate electrode thermocouple allows you to monitor the electrode temperature.
